Todo

Todo can be used as an adjective or a pronoun. Like other Spanish adjectives and pronouns, todo agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies or replaces. Todo is usually followed by a definite article or possessive adjective + noun and means all, every, or the whole.

todo el arroz toda la fruta todos los huevos todas las manzanas

When todo is used as a pronoun, it means everything. Todos means everyone.

Julián compra todo.

Todos compran cervezas para la fiesta.
